Historic Restoration—Queenstown, Queen Anne’s County, MD

McCon Engineering was entrusted by Lynbrook of Annapolis to handle the structural aspects of restoring this two-story colonial residence to its former 1740’s glory. Working alongside Kimmell Architects, historian Willie Graham, and a team of archaeologists, materials specialists and forensic consultants, we found creative ways to reinforce the aging stairs and deteriorated beams without changing their appearance, and we designed the reconstruction of previously demolished portions of the residence while maintaining its historical integrity.
